WillowFunds, after years of preparation, will soon be online at www.willowfunds.com. On our website you will find how the daily purchases you make become the foundation for a regular lifetime pattern of saving for your financial future.
This blog will allow me, the founder of WillowFunds, to share with you my personal story. I have been guilty of all the reasons women have for not saving.
At the core of my financial denial is that I could not reconcile a lifetime savings strategy with my love of nurturing my family and friends. In other words, I would rather spend $30 on a book to give as a gift, or for flowers for a friend's birthday, than to invest that $30 as savings.
WillowFunds is my creation as a result of the loss of my financial security. In 1998-1999 I developed the first business plan for WillowFunds. Many evolutions later it is soon to become a reality.
Major banks had interest in it, but they were not willing to look at the big picture--they wanted just bits and pieces of it. So, as my Mother used to say, "Nancy, do it yourself!"
So I am. Welcome.
